ADVANTAGES, SHORTCOMINGS AND STATE-OF-THE-ART OF DISTANCE EDUCATION IN AZERBAIJAN
A brief review of distance learning is given in the paper; its shortcomings and avdantages compared to traditional education are set out and analyzed. The authors point out that distance learning make the traditional learning process much easier, saving time of teachers, tutors and students. It should be understood that distance education and traditional education complement each other. The authors substantiate the necessity of introducing distance learning in the universities of Azerbaijan for the purpose of training of professional personnel in the regions of the country.
