NANOTECHNOLOGY FOR OIL TRANSPORTATION

The use of nanotechnology for pipelines improves the transportation of hard-to-produce high-viscosity oils, removes solid precipitations and increases the speed of transportation, and reduces energy consumption. It is most effective to use new innovative technologies in dealing with oil transportation problems. The use of nanotechnologies for enhancing the efficiency of pipeline transportation of oil ultimately leads to a multiple reduction in consumption rate.  This is why it is most profitable to use nanotechnology for transportation of heavy oils. The nanosystem reduces the surface tension between the liquid and the pipe walls , creating a nanoplug in the inner walls of the pipelines, and reduces the hydraulic resistance on the contact surface of the liquid, and increases the rate of fluid flow during pumping into pipes and reservoir.
